The Facebook Generation vs. the Fortune 500 →
I loathe these generational contrasts but I find little fault in this list. Leaders serve rather than preside. That’s a big one for the Web 2.0 crowd. Here’s an even more challenging notion, how do leaders serve their crowds and present their direction to lead?

The Prada Transformer →
A building designed by Rem Koolhaas in Seoul. Kottke has a brief description, it’s basically a building with four different sides to accommodate events. Based on the event, the building flips to a different side. A sort of art instillation, building oddity and design experience all in one. Check out the arial photos, if you look carefully a Koolhaas building looks quite distinctive next to...

iPhone OS 3 Subscription Pricing
The creator of Instapaper makes the case for subscription pricing. While they are completely valid points, the opportunity exists for abuse as outlined by Gizmodo. Overall, this is a necessary step for all involved parties to evolve the creation and usage of iPhone Apps, let’s hope developers don’t get crazy on micro-transactions.    marco: I’ve wanted to charge a subscription price...

What's Apple's problem with buttons?
Marco nails it. I love the unbuttoned Apple track pad on the Macbook, I hate the Mighty Mouse, I love the translucent Menu Bar, I hate the refresh button in Safari 4. Certainly Apple is exploring something with their thinking, which is refreshing, I’m not positive it works entirely for me.  marco: With both the new buttonless trackpads and the new iPod Shuffle, it seems that Apple’s going...

Converging Design
F1 cars are simply some of the most complex moving objects on the face of the earth. Interestingly, the complexity has independently converged into a mostly consistent design among steering wheels. Unlike Nascar, F1 is an open spec on steering wheels which allows each team to come up with it’s own independent design. This gallery at oobject showcases the convergence of each team’s...

Unjaunting
I’ve to make it back from a 9 day jaunt through Europe:  Frankfurt » Florence » Paris » Berlin » Hamburg » Frankfurt » Boston It was fantastic. I have to sort through 2,500 photos and get some organization done. I’ve also started my first day at Hill Holliday as a strategist. Quite a loaded few weeks, I imagine it’s only going to get better....
