Having just transcribed several emails that prove that Microsoft was perhaps the very last to hop on board, I realized that with this collection of exhibits, we are indeed publishing The True History of Microsoft.

The Comes v. Microsoft antritrust litigation opened up thousands of exhibits, some which is in the form of internal emails, from the period of 1988 to 2003. Groklaw examined a new piece from 2003 in which Bill Gates commented on Steve Jobs’ ability to create iTunes.

I’m guessing this is truly the transparent view into the deep dark world of Microsoft. Stunning they’re mostly in the same place they were in 2003.
